Rough water on the coastline of the Atlantic Ocean at Cape Bonavista, Newfoundland – Atlantic Canada

Tempestuous Art Print featuring the photograph Tempestuous Bonavista by Tatiana Travelways

It was a windy day in Cape Bonavista when I visited this place in the beginning of September, 2008. Located on the northeastern shore of Newfoundland, on the tip of the peninsula with the same name,  I think it’s rare when it’s not windy there… In this tempestuous weather, the water seem to always be rough ricocheting on the rocky shore. – It looks almost like effervescent.

It is beautiful though 🙂

Hard to believe, but in Newfoundland there are calm days when with mirror like waters, reflecting boats, shores and fisherman’s shacks. These and other pictures from Newfoundland are available as art prints at Fine Art America and you can see them here.

  1. Wonderful photos of the power of wind. I’ve never been to Newfoundland, even though I’m Canadian. P.E.I. was the closest I got, years ago. 🙂
